Jennifer East is the Founder of ONIDA Coaching + Consulting Inc., a family advisory firm headquartered in Toronto, Canada. As a lifelong next generation leader in her own family’s business, Jennifer’s passion for working with families has developed over many years of personal experience.

Jennifer works with a select number of leading business and financial families in North America, Europe and Asia. Her work includes designing and implementing family governance structures, building common goals amongst diverse family members, enhancing communication between generations and developing the next generation of business leaders, inheritors, shareholders and philanthropists.

She is a graduate of the University of Toronto, and an internationally trained executive coach through Adler International Learning. Jennifer is completing the FFI Certificate Program, and has pursued additional training as a Family Business Facilitator and Mediator through the Canadian Association of Family Enterprise and the Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies, Conrad Grabel University College. Prior to her role as a family advisor, Jennifer worked in senior marketing and management roles in two of her family’s businesses.

Jennifer is a frequent speaker and workshop leader on issues of inter-generational cooperation, next generation leadership development and diversity. She has presented at leading family business conferences in Canada, the US, the UK and India. In 2010, Jennifer will be Co-Chair of the Family Firm Institute Annual Conference in Chicago.

Jennifer’s commitment to family business extends beyond her professional responsibilities. As a Founding Member of Ontario’s Family Firm Institute, a Board Member of the Family Firm Institute and leader in the Canadian Association of Family Enterprise, Jennifer volunteers extensively to raise the profile of family business and foster best practices amongst international family business advisors.
